@Spar Elric: Actually, on the thing about no brushes...

*Is a GIMP User*

use "Select by Color" on one of the pixels, and use fill+shift to cover them all at once.

Just a comment I'd like to add for readers in search of a tutorial, a mistake spar made (As well as thousands of other artists make all the time) is that her color palette for her skin and shirt is TOO bright. You'll want to ONLY DARKEN your shade if you want to shade your art piece. Her darker purple is too saturated, and it would need to be more grey to match the lilac color of her skin. The same goes for her dress, but isn't always true with yellows. THIS IS MOST DEFINITELY NOT always the case, but at least in this drawing it is. There are also pre-made color palettes all over the internet, if you want to look at those.

@Quirby64_:D: This tutorial is for windows 7/8 paint, not gimp. ^^'

@MonkeysUncle: Yep. :P

And on the longer part above, I think Spar was going for "Cel Shading" of the sorts?

@Quirby64_:D: She was going for Cel Shading, but that doesn't make the color palette any better. :P

EDIT: I think this looks much better, but it might just be me.

@MonkeysUncle: That is just you. Matching the colors isn't ALWAYS ideal. It just looks way too n00bish to me.
This may be difference in opinion though. But it is NOT an artistic mistake. Did that on purpose so the colors would POP more.

@Quirby64_:D: This is for MS paint, not Gimp.

@broblade12: The Windows 7/8 version. Yes.
I'm much more familiar with the XP MS Paint, because that was what I used growing up, until I discovered Photoshop.
I didn't get Windows 7 until I got my newer laptop. Which was in September of 2013, I think.

@Spar Elric: Ah, I see. And I did state multiple times that it isn't ALWAYS ideal, but what I <--- ME Specifically find in this piece alone is that the second shade of purple looks like a second color all together, like hair highlights instead of shading. But of course, all artists have different perspectives.

@MonkeysUncle: Very true. :)
